Nuremberg is definitely a city of history. Some may think of Nuremberg as a Renaissance city of European standing where artists and men of learning such as Albrecht Durer and Willibald Pirckheimer worked, where Martin Behaim devised the first world globe, and where Peter Henlein made a fob watch tick for the first time. All those images make up the many-faceted mosaic of Nuremberg. Others may remember the Nuremberg Trials and the city abused by the Nazis as the City of the Nazi Party Rallies. Food & Fun
The Food & Fun festival combines extraordinary culinary talent with a selection of fine Icelandic ingredients, add to that Reykjavik's world famous nightlife and countless adventures in the great outdoors and you have the ultimate recipe for fun!
The essential component of the festival involves world-renowned chefs collaborating with Reykjavik's finest restaurants, and as an extra serving of food and fun, chefs compete to create a three-course meal using exclusively Icelandic ingredients.

The Fortress of Koules
The Fortress of Koules was built between 1523 and 1540. It is one of the best-preserved castles of Crete, perched on a small natural elevation where the ruins of an earlier fortress were to be found. It is a massive construction and has 26 chambers on the ground level, situated along a central wide corridor. These rooms were used as living quarters and storage rooms in the Venetian years. During the Turkish occupation period, the Koules was used as a prison for the revolutionaries.
